Research Interests

I am conducting research on the genetics of growth and development in oysters as part of my academic visit. Oysters are major aquaculture species. Fast and efficient growth is important for aquaculture production. The plan is to conduct transcriptomic and association studies to identify genes and genetic variations affecting growth and development in the eastern oyster. The goal is to understand how growth and development are genetically determined and regulated in oysters.
